Dejan Mak

Dejan Mak is an award-winning novelist and short story author.

He was born in Vrsac, Serbia in 1974. He holds an international MBA degree from IFAM Paris, where he studied French as a foreign language at the University of Sorbonne in 1998. His short stories were awarded at the competition organized by KOV (Literary Commune of Vrsac) in 1995. He is author of two fiction novels: “Pariska menažerija (Melting Pot)” (KOV, 2005), the 2005 best debut novel in Serbia according to “DANAS” Daily Newspaper critics, and “Bergdorf” (Dereta, 2014), Literary award “Miroslav Dereta” for the 2014 best novel. In 2011 he won the Fulbright Program grant and spent one academic year at Michigan State University as a Hubert Humphrey Fellow. He lives and works in Vrsac, Serbia.
